Understanding Animal Research

Understanding Animal Research (UAR)  is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to provide the public, scientific and research communities with a broad understanding of the humane use of animals in research.

Indeed, researchers and Biological Services Unit (BSU) technicians from Queen's regularly visit schools in Northern Ireland in order to increase awareness of animal research and to highlight its importance in developing new medicines.  See the School Zone section of UAR's website for further information.

If you would be interested in arranging for your School to receive a talk on animal research, please contact Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Sciences. ‌
