Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Awards 2025
We are incredibly proud to have been named a finalist for the Large Employer in Partnership with a Training Provider Award at the Northern Ireland Apprenticeship Awards 2025.
Congratulations to Citi and Ulster University on their well-deserved win!
Our partnership with Belfast Metropolitan College has grown over the past five years, leading to the Technician Apprenticeship Pilot, which launched in late 2023. Working closely with Belfast MET and DfE, we have developed apprenticeship programmes for Laboratory and Mechanical Workshop Technicians, expanding into Creative & Digital Industries, IT Services, and Creative Media.
Notably, the Scientific Technologies pathway had not been delivered within a Northern Ireland employer for over a decade—until now.
Aligned with Queen’s University’s Strategy 2030, which prioritises people as a key enabler, we remain committed to apprenticeships as a vital pathway for developing skills and talent. We are grateful for our collaboration with Belfast MET, whose expertise, adaptability, and dedication have been instrumental in shaping this initiative.
A huge thank you to everyone involved, and congratulations once again to all the finalists!
