The National Postdoc Conference happens every other year and is this year organised by the University of Liverpool on 24 September. The theme of the virtual conference is "New realities, stronger connections, successful futures".

The conference will include:
- a keynote from Prof Dame Ottoline Leyser, CEO of UK Research and Innovation
- a panel discussion on collaborating research practices, which will include Professor Julia Buckingham CBE, President of Universities UK (see all panellists here)
- 45 min parallel sessions providing bite-size information, discussions or development activities on selected topics of interest to postdocs
- intercalated wellbeing activities
- a Twitter poster competition: a great way to network with other participants and communicate your research simply and widely! You'll be able to register your interest to take part from 21/06
- a networking virtual space on the day for participants to interact (Kumospace)
- pre-conference networking activities (from 5 Aug - 20 Sep; registration to open end of June): virtual coffee (05/08/21), sustainable art show (11/08/21), online Pictionary (17/08/21), supermarket sweep (23/08/21), virtual movie night (03/09/21), pub quiz (08/09/2), codenames game (17/09/21), speed networking (20/09/21)
