In Case You Missed It
Smart Industry Next Cluster Launches with 18 SMEs

AMIC and Kiverco Ltd. successfully launched the Smart Industry Next cluster on 22nd July, supported by Invest NI’s CAP programme. This collaborative network brings together 18 diverse SMEs in Agri-Food, Engineering, Plastics, and other sectors to accelerate digital transformation.

Michael Polson, Cluster Facilitator:

"I look forward to working with the 18 companies and stakeholders to accelerate the digitalisation journey. By working collaboratively, we can progress quickly and provide the necessary learning and benefits across the Cluster. The range of companies involved from across Northern Ireland, covering sectors as diverse as Agri-Food, Materials Handling, Construction, Plastics, and Engineering, gives a breadth and depth to the Cluster. This provides the opportunity for collaboration that will deliver immediate benefits to each business, building on the foundation of the Digital Factory Accelerator Programme."

John Irwin, Kiverco MD (Lead SME):

"Kiverco is delighted to be the lead SME in this Digital Cluster and to have the experienced Michael Polson as Facilitator. The interest shown from a cross-section of industry, from all over Northern Ireland, clearly demonstrates recognition of the need for digital transformation.  It pervades both the running of our businesses and the integration of digital technology into our products. Non-competitive collaboration between the participating companies, with support from Invest NI and AMIC, will undoubtedly advance their capability and performance, identifying new roles and skills for the future and contributing to DfE’s vision for the NI economy of good jobs, regional balance, net zero and productivity."
