Colleagues were invited by email to take part in the Racial Equity at Queen's Survey. The survey closed on 6 December 2024.

Queen’s University Belfast launched Black History Month on 1 October 2024 with an inspiring opening event, setting the stage for a month-long celebration of Black history, culture, and achievements.

The launch of the REC Reverse Mentoring Programme was held on Thursday 29th August 2024.

QGI-REC were delighted to host the Vice-Chancellor Prof Sir Ian Greer, Ms Kate Nicholl MLA as well as staff and students at a breakfast event on Wednesday 7 February to mark Race Equality Week 2024.

The QGI-REC team invited staff and students to attend a free screening of the 2016 film, ‘Hidden Figures'.

Race Equality Week took place between 5th – 11th February 2024.

QGI-REC and iRise held the first Academic Progression Workshop for Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic colleagues and colleagues from international backgrounds on Tuesday 30 January 2024.
