Athena Swan Gold success for Psychology
Queen’s Gender Initiative congratulate the School of Psychology on their recent success retaining their prestigious Gold Athena Swan award, recognising their ongoing commitment to gender equality.
The School first attained a Gold award in 2014, becoming the first Psychology department in the UK to achieve this recognition. With successful renewals in 2017 and now in 2023, gender equality is well-embedded within the School, with significant contributions to the University and beyond.
Special mention to the School’s Swan Champions, Dr Ioana Latu, Prof Rhiannon Turner and Dr Lisa Graham-Wisener, and Head of School, Prof Teresa McCormack, for their leadership on gender equality in the School. Congratulations to the SAT team and everyone in the School on this achievement.
All fifteen schools at Queen’s hold Athena Swan awards (3 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze).
